Similar to the MBB218 only the controller is different.
True Marine Audio: While some manufacturers simply put automotive equipment in a box marked "marine", Prospec's JBL components are thoroughly developed for the marine environment. Circuit boards are encapsulated in a newly developed PUC moisture coating which dramatically improves reliability. Unlike the coating used by most companies in the marine industry, PUC coating is visible under a black light. This makes it possible to visually inspect every unit to make sure that the circuit board has been fully covered!

The "black box" stereo is new in the marine industry! It focuses specifically on eliminating the potential problem of water intrusion in a marine stereo. The MBBMINI comes with a waterproof controller as well as a separate box, functioning as the "brain" of the unit, that can be placed anywhere! This box allows boaters to put it in a water-protected area. In this era of portable media, many boaters are more interested in bringing along their iPod than in using a traditional CD player, so we designed the MBB219 with no CD mechanism. Instead, it's equipped with aux-in to plug in either an MP3 player or a variety of other types of portable media
